Fawcett-O'Neal son Redmond admits Calif. charges
Redmond O'Neal, the son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, has pleaded guilty in California to possessing heroin and methamphetamine.
The 23-year-old O'Neal pleaded guilty Thursday in a Malibu court to the two felony counts and a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs. As part of a plea deal, a second DUI charge was dismissed.
O'Neal was arrested Jan. 26 after he was stopped for speeding on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
He was placed on three years probation on the misdemeanor charge and fined about $1,700. He must also remain in drug treatment until a hearing next month.

HUGH GRANT has found a new way to land acting gigs - the actor was recently seen bidding for a role at an auction.
The Notting Hill star put in a $32,000 (GBP16,000) bid for two walk-on roles in forthcoming comedy Lost for Words at a London auction fundraiser on Tuesday (17Jun08).
But Grant will have to stick with auditioning for parts - he was outbid by a wealthy extra who shelled out $36,000 (GBP18,000).

LAPD picked up Greg Smith Monday night on an existing warrant. A judge issued the warrant after he failed to show up for a court date. When cops approached him, Smith did the smart thing and took off. Now he's been booked for resisting arrest too.
Maybe he's safer behind bars than in Suge's hood.
